Mumbai: The Mumbai Police made another breakthrough in the photojournalist gangrape case. A second accused in the brutal assault on a 23-year-old woman photojournalist was on Saturday arrested from south Mumbai even as police launched a manhunt for three others in the case.

Accused Vijay Jadhav was picked up in the wee hours from Madanpura area by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch.On Friday, an unemployed youth from south Mumbai identified as Chand Babu Sattat Shaikh alias Mohammed Abdul(19), was arrested in the case.

Photojournalist gangrape: Cops arrest main accused

Mumbai: Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Murli Deora on Friday informed that all five accused in the gangrape of a photojournalist were arrested by the Mumbai Police.
 
However, his claims were contradicted by Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde who said that only one arrest has been made so far in the case.

The incident witnessed an uproar in the Rajya Sabha with BJP MP Smriti Irani demanded that the Question Hour be suspended and the issue be raised in the Upper House.
